World Popular Song Festival - Nadieh


Nadieh, (born as Karin Francine Anne Meis in The Hague on September 7 1958), was a Dutch singer/songwriter.

In 1986 Nadieh had a big hit with Windforce 11 and her first album was rewarded with several prizes in the Netherlands.

In 1987 Nadieh represented the Netherlands at the World Popular Song Festival in Japan with the song Haifa Blue which came 2d and won a Best Song Award. This was the best result ever for the Netherlands at the World Popular Song Festival.

On September 7 1996 Nadieh died in Utrecht, she was only 37 years old.
